special ! to the person who made me love doing what i do.

I would've loved to have made something for my mom's birthday this year. But with getting the flu, working over the weekend and finishing up my friend's gift, I just couldn't find the time and the perfect gift to give her. 


So instead, I prepared a morning bouquet with a lil card I made myself.

And for later tonight... i got her a little something. Just a 'lil token and a crafty thing-a-ma-jig she's been looking for to help her with her new scrap-booking hobby.

Every night right up till when i turned 25, i had dreamt of running far far away. Who knew it only took me moving out 20mins away, to realize how lost i would be without her.

And now, i cherish all those days that i did stay put. So much so that i found my way back to her.

She is the most unbearable and stubborn, yet colorful and unpredictable woman i know. And i'm going to spend the next 25 years or so... right here by her side.

Happy Birthday Mummy Dearest. I Love you.

It was a great 4 day weekend. 

Thought i'd share this video to get you motivated for the rest of the week. 

DIY ! drumcils

What do you get a girl... that's not really into girlie things? In this case, it was pretty simple. She played drums... so duh, get her Drumcils. You probably haven't heard of em... but i guess its because i'm the only one that calls it that. In other words... drumstick pencils.

After 3 prototypes, i finally made it look as close as i can to drumsticks.

To complement the gift, i also got her the Indie Rock Coloring Book i ordered from the Whenever Shop  and a box of crayolas.

And for a more personal touch, since she's currently looking for a job, i wrapped the gift up with the classifieds section of the newspaper.

I love the part when everything comes together.
